Yey things are cooling down.
Mood:
There's a little breeze coming through my window and I'm feeling a bit livlier today so I'll probably go do abs soon. I'm still taking it a bit easy this week and I'm a little sore so I guess it's a good idea, this is what I've done since Monday:
Monday
Walk (60 min) (light)
Walk (60 min) (with 26 lbs)
Tuesday
Bike (36 min) : 380 cals
Walk (60 min) (with 26 lbs)
I only walked all of last week and without any weights so I won't bother posting that.
Today is starting out a little slow, I spent the morning ripping hair out of every corner of both of my legs, that was fun. It's so damn time consuming but I only shave in extreme emergencies. Epilating takes a while but it's not as messy as waxing, and in my opinion doesn't kill your skin as much, and the best part is (like waxing) it makes your hair grow back thinner, slower and sparcer. I'm still a hairy ape when it comes to legs but at least it's not as bad as it USED to be. Not to mention I think the pill helped even out the Testostorone, hehehe, Tina knows what I'm talking about. But the good news is: hairy women have a higher sex drive ;)
Damn I still hate being hairy. If I was a guy I'd be all proud of myself and feel all manly, but being a girl I despise hair so I have to sacrifice some 15 minutes, or an hour here or there every other week. I'm willing to deal with that.
I gave Bandit a bath yesterday. Cripes he shed ALL over the tub and I brush him EVERY DAY! I was like, damn... shedding season. I was going to trim his nails too but he kept glancing at me from under his eyelids in that like "Please leave me alone" kinda way so I figured I'd stay off his case. I'll do it today before our walk so he can file them down on the sidewalk. And then I spent the evening doing more research on the whole Pom thing. So far I found 2 Pom rescue shelters, one in Surrey and the other in Abbotsford. Both of which I can get to without ANY problems, so in a month I'm going to start visiting the breeders and shelters. I also found 1 place called Save-A-Pet. A no-kill, no-kennel (no-cage) shelter that deals with rescuing any pets from cats to dogs to birds and so on and so forth. I was glancing through their page and finally went to the home page and at the very top I read this, "We no longer have someone to update our site on a regular basis." ... sooo I guess I finally found a place I can volunteer at. I'm going to start making a design for them soon, then contact them to get in touch and ask if they need a brand spanking new site. I already asked Red if he'd be willing to host everything and I'll do the programming and build a backoffice so the site can be updated on the fly. Then (and because I LOVE taking pixies) I'll go into the shelter when new pets arrive to take pix with my digi cam and collect info so they can be posted on the website. And while I'm down there help out with whatever's needed. Feeding or grooming. Or help with donations. I want to ask Red if we could set up a PayPal, or like a directly online donation fund and then I'd just try to advertise the site so we can get donations.
I want to support a shelter that deals with the no-kill policy, and the no-cage policy surprised me, but that is DEFINATELY something I'd support as well. I never really thought about it, but I think it's an excellent idea. Plus we could also write up little stories about each pet and what they're like. I always hear of LOADS of people around me looking for dogs, and more than one of them I know would benefit from an older dog versus a puppy. Or maybe a kitty.
Ok, I better run make up my lists, do abs and start working on that design.
