The Trip.
Mood:
Damn, I need to help Patsy with his HTML one of these days...
In the meantime though, tomorrow morning is my last day here until sometime Friday, yey. I've been working and packing all day. Tomorrow Red's picking me up at around 10 or so. I need to wash my hair, finish packing my carry bag and off we go. We need to get back ASAP, go to the mall and get our pants and some more flowers for me. I'll see if they have any roses, orchids or even hibiscus. I'd PREFER orchids, or "open" roses, but what you gonna do. I can only visit Zellers and they're not as huge in the whole silk flower department like Wallmart.
If I can get a few though it'll at least give me something to do in the car.
The laptop thing didn't work out. Those assholes are only shipping the cable NOW, so there's no way in hell it'll get here tomorrow in time for us to pick it up. We need to make the 1 pm ferry, oh well. The good news is, the lady from school phoned me back and we talked and she said that if I can't sign up for the class I can come in first day and she'll get me in there, yey. But basically Red and I will phone tomorrow so they can add the class to my list REGARDLESS and drop French, just so I have an assured seat. This way I will have an absolutely perfect schedule. Mondays and Wednesdays will be intensly long, but I get off early on Friday's AND I have a nice break to study or do homework which is good because by getting rid of French I got rid of TWO labs!
Well I'm beat. I should go sleep *sigh*. Damn it's hot in here. Oh! I also managed to find this song I grew up with (VERY nastalgic). I had the tune stuck in my head but I didn't remember the words. So today I was standing in the kitchen and this ad for old country songs came on and at one point I started humming to a song and then realised it was the song I was looking for! It's called "Rose Garden", so I run to download it. I had tears in my eyes and when I walked back into the kitchen I think my mom was choaked up. I thought it was so sweet. I'm sure she was imagining weddings, dancing, a "younger" life, the past... everything... family, having fun with a ton of people *sigh*. I miss that too.
I miss the weddings the most. Celebrating. Late nights falling asleep all over people you hardly knew but who thought you were too darn cute (or too darn fat) to let you get away. Funny, frilly dresses. Lots of kids roaming around, the hot inside air and the cold outdoor air as soon as you stepped out of the hall. Hardwood floor... a stage with a band, and that song. They would ALWAYS play that song.
Well, I shall be off. I'll take lots of pixies, the batteries are fully charged.
