Wow I'm hot *pants*. Thank gd it's not actually sunny or hot outside otherwise I'd be dying right now, I just did the stair run, what a killer. These weather up and down changes aren't helping my headaches any though *sigh*.

At least I finished some work today. Ended up doing a design for one of the companies, last one on the list. The whole project consisted of a logo, business card and webpage design, so I'm done now. Then I did a logo for one of Red's jobs. Next week is going to be pretty damn busy. Red came over yesterday and we went over 7 folders worth of stuff I need to do by the end of the month. Then school.

I still have to finalize my schedule. This is getting on my nerves, arg... wow, I'm sweating onto my laptop, hehehe *whipe whipe*.

The wireless router arrived today though, I'm so happy. So this weekend I'm going to pay Red almost 4 grand worth of stuff, then we can blow this machine away and make it my mom's new comp in the kitchen, then create a new file server and put it in the closet along with the router somewhere in the room. Test, make sure everything works and hopefully I'll have wireless net next week.

One final thing for me is to go into a furniture store to find some sort of almost "industry" looking shelving system to go between my desk and the dresser the TV's on. I need to get rid of my existing wire thingy magig OR somehow go buy a new one and re-arrange them to suit my current needs. Actually... I'll go do that, WAY better idea. This way I can create a "double" shelf in the middle by removing one of the slats and get rid of my current printer so Red can give me his Epson (at least it prints faster), then there would be enough room for the router and everything else I need like phone and a place for "current documents".

So I'm all set. One last thing to get for school: A little binder but like 1/2 inch, basically the smallest ring binder I can find, and order a bag. I found this kick ass bag that'll fit my laptop. It was a tossup between two bags but Red said I probably won't need to carry that much shit anyway. In case I do I can always bring an extra bag or SOMETHING. This one is pretty kool. Has room for books/binders, laptop + AC adapter and it's across the shoulder strap which looks very stable and comfortable. I've actually never had one of those before, most of my bags were messanger bags but it looks like I can carry this one over my shoulder or across and I didn't want another messagner bag.

I guess a couple more things would be to go looking for a bathing suit, a sporty one though, like a bottom and a regular top set. Gotta go see if Swimco has anything good.

Oh well, I shall be off. Bandit's feeling a lot better though finally. I even ended up giving him a bath yesterday and he ate twice. Then today he came to "welcome" me when I went downstairs so I knew he must be all good, which reminds me, I should go take him outside for a bit.

I forgot to post my current desktop background so here it is. If I have any time in the evening I'll post some more pix of the trip and pugs. Patsy... I can see you drooling from here! Stop that! :)

Well, no pixies for today, it's way too late. Mom and I ended watching The Pianist and it JUST finished so I think I'll head to bed. Gd what a heavy movie though, I'm glad Red and I didn't end up seeing it together. I know he doesn't like heavy movies like that, and this one was particularly heavy. Roman Polanski knows how to make you relate to the violence so it affects you a lot more.

He's a great director though. You can always tell (the very moment the movie ends) who fucked up. Usually it IS the director. It's hard to explain unless you're an artist but the key to getting good work out of someone is to BE a good director. To guide them, but to never tell them, and to know instantly what works best. How much and when to lead. You have to know your "artist" and use them like an instrument, tune them and you WILL get the best sound. Get a good artist and you will also get great music played with talent. But without the tuning and leadership no amount of talent will ever be enough. I think that's where most directors fail. I have a few on my F list.

Well, I best be off. I need to do arms tomorrow and a few more little things here and there. I need to relax *sigh*. I also want to get away. Red's brother said he's going bowling on his b-day to get away from people, I told him if it was MY b-day I'd charter a boat to a deserted island and tell it to leave me there for a week. The fucking phone has been bothering me ALL day. I need to be a hermit again.
