Yey more decorating stuff.

Dea and I ended up talking until almost 2 yesterday about all these plans we had and then we looked for couches. While we talked I came up with a neat idea for the sofa and chaise lounger. I really like the fake swede fabric, it's so fuzzy and neat looking, but it's also a little boring because it's a solid color, so while it feels nice to the touch and looks kinda kool, I wouldn't dream of apholstering a MASSIVE couch in this somewhat (admittedly) boring fabric.

But the simple fact remains, I LIKE IT. So I came up with a chic compromise. To apholster the sofa in the original chosen fabric (this stripy fuzzy stuff, it's hard to explain but if you can imagine corduroi fabric but with wider cords and where the cords are actually fuzzy, like very short fur and to get the chaise in a matching shade and color but the fake swede and then swtich the pillows. So the grand effect would look something like this:

Hehehe, the couch fabric looks so aweful in that pic. I think they skin 3D models so anything that's striped looks terrible. I'm still surprised they do this though and it gives you a somewhat broad idea of what things might look like. In case we DO end up getting that couch and fabric I'll take some real pixies to prove the fabric is actually insanely beautiful ;)

Anyway, onto a different topic. I migrated to the couch to write this. I'm waiting for Red to send me some more work so we can finish a site, I think I'll stay here to cut it up, I'm too lazy to sit at the desk and do it, and I don't need the other monitor for cutting stuff up and this one has SO much more room on it. I should go look for some kimono online. I found one I really liked it's black with faint bamboo designs and cranes. It's quite beautiful and simple and would look great on the wall but I want to see what else is available.
